Petalia was launched on March 16th, 2001 as Australia’s first online ‘pet community’ in recognition of the need for an online resource where pet owners could easily access information provided by a respected and authoritative source: veterinarians.

Petalia provided an easily accessible resource of comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date information from a trustworthy and reliable source, veterinary professionals and experts, to:

• help pet owners make informed decisions on pet choice and how to best provide for their pets’ wellbeing and longevity;
• provide information on specific health, nutrition, behaviour, training and pet care issues and be able to ask pet experts for their advice;
• give pet owners the confidence to seek out and develop a relationship with an important person in their pets’ life, their veterinarian
• compare and purchase a wide range of products and food recommend by veterinarians through a secure online shopping facility.

Launched in 2010, I Love My Pet provided a place for pet owners and PROSURE Pet Insurance members to access information about pet care and pet insurance, find their local vet and share their favourite pets’ photos.

In 2014 Petalia and I Love My Pet have been unified and relaunched as VetZone, which provides the same comprehensive pet information database and portal for finding nearby vet practices, along with the latest animal health news on our blog.
